A Florigo frying range is often the centerpiece of the business. That certainly applies to the one at Beryl’s Fish & Chips & Veggies in Deventer. However, it’s about more than just looks. “It’s very pleasant to work with this range.”
Beryl and Jürgen Kostverloren opened Beryl’s Fish & Chips & Veggies in Deventer in 2019. The stylish and colorful establishment specializes in fried fish and has a separate vegan menu. Inside, Beryl’s offers 22 seats and, during the summer, another 50 on the terrace. “During high season, every day is busy,” says Beryl Kostverloren.
Copper-colored frying range
In the kitchen, visible for everybody, stands a striking, copper-colored Florigo frying range. “Our chairs, lamps and accessories are also in that color,” Beryl explains. “And this range fits exactly in that spot in the kitchen because it’s completely customized.” The frying range has a frying pan for pre-cooking chips, a second frying pan to finish them in, a frying pan for vegan products and a fish fryer. The fish and chips made with cod are especially in demand.
Good communication with Florigo
The business owners looked at several options, but ended up with Florigo. “In fact, we had very good click with the account manager,” says Beryl. “He knew what we were looking for and showed us different options.” The owners also visited England. “There we saw that the best fish and chip shops work with Florigo. That was a good indication.” Today, the restaurant in Deventer is known as the place that serves the best fish & chips in town.
Pleasant to work with
According to Beryl, their Florigo is not only a beautiful frying range, but more importantly, a practical piece of equipment. “This range has just the right height for me and that’s works very nicely for me. Because the controls are not on the front but on top, this whole range is lower than normal. The control panel fits exactly between the two kitchen windows. That was important because we wanted to keep the view. Again, customization.”
Thinking along
At first, the owners had a different idea about where to place the frying range. “Florigo convinced us to place it under the window, visible for the whole restaurants. Thank goodness, because it really is a showpiece. We’re happy they were thinking along with us.”
