'This electric Florigo was the best option for us.'

The frying range at Restaria De Flip meets that requirement, says Jacco Heijligers. The advantages are numerous, he explains.

Restaria De Flip in Boxmeer is the perfect example of a modern, upscale cafeteria. As is typical for a business in this concept, there is not only a takeaway counter but also a spacious and welcoming restaurant area, where dishes are served on plates. “Even if someone just orders a kroket or a frikandel,” says Jacco Heijligers. “This way, we give people a restaurant experience. That really appeals to guests in times when everything has become so expensive. We’re more than just a cafeteria, but we always want to remain accessible. We’re known for our quality and friendliness.”

“To our full satisfaction.”

Quality is only possible with the right kitchen equipment. Jacco’s father, Marcel Heijligers, took over the business eighteen years ago from the previous owners. When it was time for a new frying range, he chose Florigo. “That was a gas-powered range. He worked with it for about ten years, to his full satisfaction,” Jacco recalls.

Frying oil heats up quickly.

With the future in mind, the company switched to an electric Florigo a few years ago. “My father stuck with Florigo because it’s a great company to work with. The quality and service are excellent. If there’s ever a problem, it’s solved incredibly fast. And even though electricity isn’t cheap at the moment, it’s still the best option for us. One major advantage is that the oil heats up very quickly. After a large order, it also gets back to temperature in no time. We’re really happy with that.”

Six meters long

The electric Florigo at Restaria De Flip is nearly six meters long. The range includes two 3-basket frying pans, a 3-basket and a 2-basket frying pan, a heated chipbox, a chrome griddle, a bain-marie, a spacious worktop, and two dual-tap sauce dispensers. The frying range is also equipped with touchscreen control and an automatic oil filtration system.

Happy with the griddle

Restaria De Flip makes frequent use of the electric chrome griddle, among other things for premium burgers. The griddle is 600 millimeters wide and features two heat zones. “The great thing about this griddle is that it heats up super fast. We keep one zone at a lower temperature to keep ingredients warm for a bit longer. It’s really convenient. We use it for a variety of dishes because it can handle anything.”

More work space

The built-in sauce dispensers are a real convenience for Restaria De Flip, says Jacco. “Before, we had sauce buckets on the worktop, which took up a lot of space and looked messy. Now we have much more room on the counter, and it’s much easier to keep everything tidy.”

Fast and safe filtration.

The frying range is also equipped with an automatic oil filtration system with a pump. “It’s absolutely fantastic. Everything runs automatically. Filtration is fast, easy, and safe. We recently connected a large storage tank with fresh oil, so we no longer have to lift buckets. It really saves a lot of mess and hassle. You can handle the filtering and refilling all by yourself.”

Easy to use

Jacco has been working in the business for eight years and officially became co-owner at the beginning of 2024. Sam, who has been with the company for 22 years, is his right-hand man. “Our team also includes part-time staff, mainly students. And of course, they need to be able to handle the frying range. Fortunately, our system is very easy to use. New employees pick it up quickly. They see how it works and immediately get it.”
